What is Neurotoxin ?
Botox®, Dysport® and Jeuveau are Wrinkle Relaxers, medically known as Neurotoxins. This non-invasive treatment is used to address dynamic wrinkles that are accentuated during facial expression. Over time the repetitive muscle contractions such as smiling or frowning form fine lines and eventually deeper wrinkles that become etched into our skin. These injectable solutions can be specifically tailored to help soften or decrease the movement that creates the wrinkles. The paralyzing of the muscle often leads to a smoother complexion with a more youthful appearance.

What Can I Expect From a Treatment Session?
These wrinkle relaxers are injectable solutions that are administered with a very small needle directly into the targeted muscle. The treatment with Botox® or Dysport® can be specifically tailored to each individual patient’s needs and concerns. Results take a few days to around 2 weeks to take full effect and last about three to five months. Multiple treatments over time are suggested for optimal results. These products are priced per unit at our practice.
Am I a Good Candidate?
Botox® and Dysport® can often prevent formation of fine lines and wrinkles or help to reverse or even erase what is already present. If lines are present without expression or become more noticeable with expression in areas like your forehead, crows feet around your eyes or the furrow between your eyebrows then you could be considered a candidate for a neurotoxin treatment. These products are helpful to address the signs of aging and can be used alone or in combination with other non invasive treatments for a total anti-aging experience.
