What is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 by INMODE is a minimally invasive device that combines microneedling with radiofrequency technology (RF) for fractional resurfacing of the skin which stimulates collagen production. This treatment incorporates Burst Mode RF technology to penetrate up to 5mm in depth or as superficially as 0.5mm. This customizable treatment can target the deeper layers of skin and fat, as well as the superficial layers of skin in a safe way to cause injury and induce a natural anti-aging process. Patients experience improved texture and tightening of the skin, giving a more youthful look. Depending on the desired treatment, there is little to no damage to the dermis thus providing an extremely uniform effect. Another benefit is the ability to be used safely on darker skin types. Morpheus8 can be combined with the Fractional resurfacing tip and/or ProPlasma for optimal results!

What Can I Expect From a Treatment Session?
This treatment can range from minimal to moderate discomfort. It is recommended to arrive 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to treatment to receive a prescription–grade numbing application to the treatment area. This will decrease nerve sensation and allow patients to be more comfortable during the procedure. The treatments are quick, efficient and patients tend to leave the office looking pink with minor swelling, similar to a sunburn sensation. Redness and swelling dissipate within 2-3 days and your skin may lightly flake or slightly crust during this time. Patients can return to work and social activities after 1-2 days. If you elect to have the ablative fractional resurfacing treatment, the downtime is 1 week.
The recommended length of time for which to avoid the sun, makeup on treated areas and heavy sweating exercise is 3 days post treatment. We aim to minimize irritation and the risk of infection.

Am I a Good Candidate?
The Morpheus8 treatment can be used on sensitive skin and darker skin types safely. By using insulated pins to penetrate the skin, the RF microneedling system can be applied subdermally, allowing the device to safely treat face and body with minimal risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This Fractional Treatment can help to stimulate collagen and decrease skin laxity. Healthy individuals that are not pregnant, breastfeeding or have an active infection in the area to be treated are potential candidates.
