Halo Resurfacing

What is Halo Hybrid Resurfacing Laser Treatment?

Developed by Sciton and is considered one of the most advanced lasers currently available, Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that combines two technologies to help revitalize the skin. Patients get 2 treatments in one!

This treatment helps to combat the signs of aging with virtually half the time. Common cosmetic issues we can address with a Halo treatment are facial wrinkles and fine lines, uneven skin tone and texture, acne scarring, pigmented lesions and more.

The Halo resurfacing treatment will overall improve the quality of your skin and can be customized to address individual needs.

What Can I Expect From a Treatment Session?

This treatment is more comfortable that traditional fractional resurfacing. Patients will typically numb with a topical application for 45 minutes to an hour, and the procedure takes about 30-45 minutes to complete. Patients will leave the office with a sunburned look and minimal swelling. However, patients are allowed to put makeup on within 24 hours. Most people experience minimal to mild swelling and a bronzing of the skin with peeling/flaking for approximately a few days up to a week. A post procedure protocol will be given to patients in office.

Until your skin has completely healed, avoid rigorous activities that might cause excessive sweating and heat production (running, high-intensity workouts, ect.) Sweating may cause irritation and rigorous activity may increase the risk of swelling, bruising and hyperpigmentation. This usually should be avoided for at least 48-72 hours after your treatment.

Noticeable improvements can be seen within about a week and continued skin improvement within 10 days up to 3-4 weeks. It is very important to stay out of the sun prior to treatment, during and post treatment to protect the skin and decrease any associated risks with exposure. Halo resurfacing can achieve wonderful results with just 1 to 2 treatments compared to traditional resurfacing lasers, which may take 5 to 6 treatments for similar correction.
